KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects;
- Develop and manage billing schedules, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing;
- Measure and value construction work, including materials, labour, and equipment;
- Conduct regular site visits to assess and verify quantities of work completed;
- Conducting post-project reports to analyse the success or developments needed;
- Reporting to the Head of Projects or any other reporting line regarding proposals, budgeting and other matters;
- Provide general administrative support as necessary;
SKILL-SETS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates must already be based in Malta;
- Excellent command in Maltese and English;
- Hold a valid and clean driving licence;
- Ability to read architectural & structural plans, think critically and come up with solutions;
- Excellent command of project management software, AutoCad and other related tools
- Solid understanding of construction processes, contracts, and safety standards;
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as lead, motivate and train people.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying and billing for construction projects;
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools;
- Familiarity with various construction methods and technologies;
- Applications from Draughtspersons and Architects are also welcome and valued.
