Senior Data Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects;
  • Develop and manage billing schedules, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing;
  • Measure and value construction work, including materials, labour, and equipment;
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess and verify quantities of work completed;
  • Conducting post-project reports to analyse the success or developments needed;
  • Reporting to the Head of Projects or any other reporting line regarding proposals, budgeting and other matters;
  • Provide general administrative support as necessary;

SKILL-SETS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates must already be based in Malta;
  • Excellent command in Maltese and English;
  • Hold a valid and clean driving licence;
  • Ability to read architectural & structural plans, think critically and come up with solutions;
  • Excellent command of project management software, AutoCad and other related tools
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, contracts, and safety standards;
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as lead, motivate and train people.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying and billing for construction projects;
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools;
  • Familiarity with various construction methods and technologies;
  • Applications from Draughtspersons and Architects are also welcome and valued.
